But first we needed a new couch.
Well, the new couch finally happened. But I’d basically written off getting a DLSR this year.
Until someone GAVE ME ONE!
A flickr contact saw on my flickr profile that I wanted one. He had one to give away, apparently, because he sent me a message saying he’d give me a Nikon D200 in the spirit of Christmas. I was blown away.
I actually didn’t realize just how nice the camera (and the wide angle lens he included) is, until after he gave it to me. It’s not the latest model, but it’s still really nice. And I mean really nice. Definitely not something I could afford right now.
Here are some pictures I’ve taken with it.
At the pet cemetery:
The pet cemetery deserves its own blog post. It’ll get one eventually.
The “moat” (drainage ditch) around my kids’ high school, after we actually got some rain:
Me at the park:
People are amazing, aren’t they?
